Meet Jeremy Jauncey


Manila, Philippines - He's tanned, good looking, amazing travel influencer and a great guy! This is how I see Jeremy Jauncey, during the meet-up of bloggers/media with Jeremy Jauncey at the Lucky Rainbow Restaurant Makati.


Jeremy Jauncey is the co-founder at Tictrac (digital health) and founder at Beautiful Destination (the world’s largest travel influencer on Instagram; Skifties Winner 2015: Best Social Media Influencer and Best Social Media Agency)


I feel so lucky to finally meet Jeremy in person and a selfie with him. Attraction aside, he is so appraochable and very nice. During the talk, we got to know more about him, his brother and friends. It is the first time that he travelled with.

How would you differentiate the Philippines and it's destinations from other countries that you've visited? What makes the Philippines standout?
There are places from the U.K. and the U.S, knowing they're beautiful as the Philippines, that are higher profile and more well-known from the tourism side. What we found is the combination of amazing people. Really kind, passionate people that made us feel really welcome.

His very first encounter of the Philippines was 2 1/2 years ago when Filipinos were posting on using the #BeautifulDestinations. He started posting in Beautiful Destinations in the Philippines and said that it performed really well. For Jauncey, the important thing in travelling is telling stories about the people, their culture and the nature. They are always appreciative of the people who follow them. They try to be responsible as they can. The group is aware of how important it is to know the balance of nature and not leaving any damage.


What are the qualities of a place for it to be beautiful?
The mission of Beautiful Destination is to showcase the beautiful places in the world, but through the lens of real people, shows images of people that you can relate to. That you feel authentic and genuine to continue to inspire people. It doesn't matter if it's a shot from London, New York, El Nido or Thailand. It's really about authentic and genuine image. If you look in the account, (Beautiful Destinations) you'll notice the photos are from normal people who took photos from their iPhone or smartphone. That's what is important to us, engaging image.

3. New York, U.S.A. - his second home. He spent 10 years in London & came to New York to start a living, so that's a special city for him.

Jeremy Jauncey is very passionate about travelling. His father was a professional photographer. His dad & Columbian mom met in London. Both traveled and then settled in Venezuela. Jeremy was born in Maracas and grew up in Scotland, he feels that travelling is in his blood and now in social media.

Good news to all ladies! "I am single and open to meet new people or recommendations," said Jauncey.


What are the other places currently on you bucketlist?
I've never been to Iceland. It looks amazing and we heard really good things about Iceland. We're heading out to Cuba next week hopefully. Canada, we've never been to Toronto. To the countryside of Canada. More of South East Asia.



What would make you settle down or stop travelling? What country do you see yourself settling down?

My home at the moment is New York. My friends are there. My family's back in  Scotland, but my home is New York. Even though it looks like were travelling all day, everyday, we don't travel that much. So, I do feel like I have a base in New York. Our business is half in New York and half in Scotland. But, I don't think I'll ever stop travelling.





Jeremy Jauncey doesn't have a team to plan where he will go next. When they post pictures, people will comment that he should go to that place. He's getting messages in Instagram for suggested places. Philippines was recommended to him in Instagram by a lot of people. He said that recommendation is good for them.
